The Daruma is a symbol of perseverance and good luck and encouragement to set and achieve goals. We found a selection of weird and wonderful animals and figures in a little antique market in Kyoto. If there is one thing we love it's finding these small (and big) animals and folk toys on our travels and adding them to unexpected places in the home.

Story

Antique markets are truly our happy place and where we find some of our favourite pieces. On this trip we brazed the blistering cold weather to wander through the markets in the early morning.

While we weren't at the markets in Kyoto, we found ourselves getting lost on vintage book shops and warming up with bowls of ramen and hot tea.
