We found this unique handmade cup on a day trip out to Nara. We love making a stop at Nara, not only for the Deer but also to explore some of the back streets to find gems like this. You can use this cup for miso soup, using the lid to keep it nice and warm or fill it with your favourite brew.

Story

This was one of our longest sourcing trips, and also one of the hottest. It was peak summer while we were over there which meant we had to head to the markets early before the peak heat of the middle of the day. Albeit hot (and a little sweaty) we found so many great pieces on our travels through Osaka, Kyoto, Mashiko and Tokyo.
