Story
While walking through the backstreets of Kyoto, Tara came across a small second-hand bookshop down a back alley. She wandered in to flick through the vintage covers, looking for inspiration and images of trees (her favourite thing to draw and admire).
While digging through a big pile of second-hand books, she came across a shoebox of old prints by an unknown artist. She couldn’t decide which ones to get so she took the whole box up to the sweet older couple who ran the shop. They were in equal parts delighted and confused that she was taking the entire lot.
Each one is a unique one-off artwork, using techniques like wood printing on washi paper and some ink style antique works in the mix as well.
