The Yukine Bath Mat by Shinto Towel has takes twice as much time to weave than your regular bath mat thanks to the regional refining method, Atozarashi. The method removes starch and other natural impurities that spoil the absorbency of cotton through a special cleaning process after weaving. This maximises the water absorption of cotton, while the overlapping of freshly washed cotton threads creates soft and comfortable feeling when held by hand. Features a handy loop so that it can hung off of a hook to dry.

Story

A while back when we were staying in Kyoto, we found these towels in the hotel. We were so impressed at the softness and absorbency that we hunted down the owner of the brand, Mr. Takashi and asked to work together. We have been bringing his towels into Australia ever since. They are super lightweight, absorbent and very fast drying.
